Biography

Born in Legnano (Milan), artist and researcher, he lives and works between Barcelona and Bologna. The Italian artist graduated from the Art High School in Varese and the Marangoni Academy of Arts and Design in Milan. During his activity in textile design, his practice focused on perceptual and chromatic studies regarding optics, the chemical structure of colors, and the neurophysiological processes of image reception, which formed the basis of his subsequent career as an artist. His research is based on studies in neuroaesthetics; a personal evolution of a technique involving the use of special lenses that encourages viewers to move in front of the artwork in a perceptual ceremonial of temporal coincidence is called Hypertrait.

The design of interference patterns translated into forms seeks to engage the viewer in a kinetic relationship with the artwork, a relationship made of visual anchors and movement-related intra-activity.

Among the institutions that have hosted his work are the Maga Museum on the occasion of the eighteenth Day of Contemporary Art promoted by AMACI, Kunstverein Friedberg (Identities, 2020), Museo Marino Marini (Ex Voto, 2019), Teatros del Canal in Madrid (Human, 2017), the National Museum of the Bargello (E dell’Arno alto tesoro, 2013), and the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong (Andante, 2013).

In 2011, he participated in the 54th Venice Biennale for the Italian Pavilion curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. Under the patronage of Amnesty International, he held the exhibition "Human Rights Right Lights" in 2018 at the historic Royal Palace of Caserta.

He has also participated in international events such as Artefiera, Bologna; Art Miami, Miami; Scope, New York; Art Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe; Museum Villa Rot, Burgrieden; Luxembourg Art Week; MIArt, Milan; Art Verona, Verona; and Fotografia Europea, Reggio Emilia.
