Raffaele Minotto was born in Padova in 1969. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts, painting course, in Venice, where he graduated in 1991.
His first solo exhibition dates back to 1995, at the Centro di Storia del Costume Ieri Attualità in Padova. From this moment he continuously exhibits his works, going so far as to present the work carried out in this first period with the exhibition Via Euganea, created in Padova in 2003, curated by Giorgio Segato.
In 2009, Minotto's painting was selected for Contemplazioni: a large exhibition curated by Alberto Agazzani, who proposed an effective point of view on Italian painting in the Sismondo Castle in Rimini. The exhibition and catalog Riflessioni derive from this collaboration, with an analysis of the works created between 2011 and 2012. In this period the exhibition was also presented in the Nino Sindoni Gallery (Asiago, VI).
Also in these years, in 2011, he was invited by Vittorio Sgarbi to exhibit as part of the 54th Venice Biennale - Veneto Region Section.
In parallel with the pictorial research, the Acque misteriose project takes shape, representing a return to drawing, even in large format, through the analysis of the theme of bathers, already addressed previously with other techniques. The collaboration with Stefano Annibaletto, curator of the project, will lead to the creation of the exhibition of the same name in 2013 at the Sala della Gran Guardia in Padova and of a catalog that documents and analyzes the proposed theme.
At the same time he also continues his study of engraving: in June 2012 the magazine Grafica d'arte dedicates an extensive presentation to his engravings signed by the prof. Paolo Bellini. A print by him was nominated for the Premio Leonardo Sciascia 2015-16, and presented in the traveling exhibitions of the Award in the cities of Palermo, Florence, Fabriano and Milan.
In the following years his pictorial work increasingly focused on the theme of interiors and banquets. Out of Focus in 2017, at SimonBart Gallery in Salerno, offers viewers a broader vision of the subjects addressed by Minotto's pictorial research. In the same year, TG5 Arti Impressioni su tela, a Canale 5 column edited by Guido del Turco and reserved for the art world, presented a selection of Minotto's works to the general public, dedicating a short interview to him. In 2021 he was invited to the Veneto Felice exhibition, at the Le Carceri museum in Asiago (VI), curated by Camillo Langone.
In the recent years he has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions and his works have been presented in numerous national and international fairs.
