Gianfranco Meggiato: "ELPÌS" at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan

Press
Gianfranco Meggiato, one of the most prominent contemporary italian sculptors, is the protagonist of the exhibition ELPÌS – Where Hope Is Born, which opened on June 13, 2025, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.

His seven monumental sculptures in white aluminum will inhabit the university's spaces, transforming them into a symbolic and meditative dimension. Through his unmistakable aesthetic — marked by organic forms, internal dynamics, and central voids — Meggiato explores the concept of hope as an inner force and a catalyst for renewal. His sculptures become representations of silence and reflection, engaging in dialogue with their surroundings and those who pass through them.

Curated by a group of young female scholars, the exhibition fosters a collective and intergenerational dialogue, encouraging young people to explore their personal and shared visions of hope. Through the artworks, it opens a space for reflection on the pressing questions about the future that lies ahead.
