Gianfranco Meggiato at EMSOS 2025

Special Event

From 28th to 30th of April 2025, on the occasion of EMSOS 2025 — the annual congress of the European Musculo-Skeletal Oncology Society held at the Padua Conference Center — SimonBart Gallery presented twelve sculptures by Gianfranco Meggiato, exclusively for this occasion.

The sculptures have been selected for their strong thematic affinity with the focus of the congress. Meggiato’s work is distinguished by a continuous exploration of cellular structures, organic growth, interconnected elements, and the relationship between solid and void — concepts that directly reference the biological world and the processes governing the human body.

Presented within a space dedicated to medical and scientific research, the sculptures took on an added symbolic value: matter that opens, intertwines, and regenerates becomes a visual metaphor for transformation, healing, and the complexity of life. It is an artistic language that, while rooted in classical tradition, speaks powerfully to the present and offers new interdisciplinary perspectives.

This participation offered a valuable opportunity to explore new synergies between art and science, reaffirming the role of artistic language as a bridge between different fields of knowledge.
