Overview
My Eyes Are Full, Gianluca Patti
Curated by SimonBart Gallery

SimonBart Gallery _ Piazza Cavour 6/E - 40124 Bologna

Opening: 25th October 2025 – 18:00

SimonBart Gallery is pleased to announce My Eyes Are Full, a solo exhibition by the Italian artist Gianluca Patti. The opening will take place on October 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the gallery’s main location in Piazza Cavour 6/E, Bologna, with the artist in attendance.

The exhibition offers a synthesis of Gianluca Patti’s artistic journey, bringing together the main cores of his research and the projects that have marked his evolution over recent years. Alongside the central body of works from the recent My Eyes Are Full series, the exhibition also includes pieces from earlier cycles, in which the artist explores different forms, dimensions, and materials—evidence of his ongoing drive toward experimentation.

My Eyes Are Full unfolds as a journey through memory, introspection, and perception. Each work marks a stage in this itinerary, where color becomes language, space, and sensation. The apparent lightness and playful dimension of Patti’s painting conceal a profound inquiry into material and structure, the result of a meticulous analysis of materials and surfaces.
Color is the absolute protagonist, alternating throughout the exhibition between polychrome and monochrome works.

In the polychrome pieces, layers of hues and resinous textures allow the underlying material to resurface, evoking buried memories and emotions. In contrast, the monochrome works are defined by a more essential and minimal language, maintaining a sense of floating lightness and subtle vibration.

Gianluca Patti’s art stands as an invitation to experience painting as a living, ever-renewed encounter: a journey both inward and outward, where the gaze becomes the core of perception. An invitation to let oneself be carried by sensations, free from all constraints.
