Biography
Jeff Koons was born in 1955 the United States and from an early age developed a fascination with art and popular culture.
He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and later at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, before moving to New York, where he soon emerged as one of the most influential voices of contemporary art.
His research takes inspiration from consumer culture, everyday objects and the imagery of mass media, transforming them into sculptures and installations that have become icons of our time. The artist often focuses on the human figure, childhood memories and toys, turning ordinary elements into monumental symbols.
Over the years Koons created a personal artistic language where irony, bright colors and technical perfection converge. His works are distinguished by reflective surfaces, bold shapes and refined finishes, remaining rooted in the Pop tradition while opening new dialogues between art and society.
Recognized worldwide, he has created some of the most celebrated works of recent decades, such as the Balloon Dogs sculptures and other large-scale public projects that have become cultural landmarks. Today, Jeff Koons continues to exhibit internationally, captivating audiences with art that blends playfulness, elegance and conceptual depth.
