Biography

Pasquale Di Fazio (1960) is a self-taught artist who has devoted himself entirely to painting since 1985. His first solo exhibition took place in Milan in 1990, marking the beginning of an artistic journey that has led him to exhibit throughout Europe, Russia, and the United States.
Initially inspired by landscape painting, Di Fazio explored a variety of techniques, combining oil and acrylic colors with unconventional materials such as wood, jute, and fabric. His early works translated a profound love for nature into poetic visions of the Italian countryside—particularly that of Tuscany—rendered through a personal and unmistakable style.
Between 1988 and 2004, he participated in numerous painting competitions across Italy, distinguishing himself among the country’s leading artists and earning prestigious recognitions including the Giorgio Mondadori “Arte” Prize, the Medal of the President of the Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, the Rinascente Group Milan Prize, and the “Golden Brush” Prize of Marina di Ravenna.
Guided by a constant spirit of research, Di Fazio gradually turned toward abstraction—a language that allows him to fully express his artistic sensibility. Today he lives and works in Tuscany, dedicating himself to abstract art characterized by depth, harmony, and a vibrant chromatic balance.
His works reveal a refined mastery of composition and color, where light and matter interact to create spatial tension and emotional resonance. Free from any figurative reference, Di Fazio constructs a universe of pure energy and suggestion, where color and form merge to evoke an intimate, contemplative experience.
